Let's list all my celebrity crushes as I remember them. In chronological order. With pictures. Is there a pattern here? I have no idea.
Some of these are probably out of order, and I can't guarantee I've remembered everyone xD; These are the most noteworthy ones at any rate.

In high school i used to have hair like Brian Molko and a girl I knew (who now works for nintendo!) teased me and said I looked just like him, but I think it was supposed to be an insult~~
It was fun to go on your crush journey, even though I knew the last few due to your phases of babbling non stop about them to me until the next one showed up :DD I don't see a pattern at all, but at least you have a varied selection?
My celeb crushes are kind of non existent pretty much since the 90's with Alicia Silverstone, and an Australian actress called Kym Valentine who used to be on an Australian TV soap.
Like there have been others that I have found ~striking~ when I see them, but not to the point of crushing on them, I don't know, maybe I need to be emotionally connected for it to happen!
Also there is.. you know.. with that lady.. it can count.. right? XD

I had crushes on a few of the Backstreet Boys; Jonathan Rhys Meyer after seeing him in Velvet Goldmine; ambient crush on Christian Bale. Those are the only ones I can really think of. I think my crush on the Backstreet Boys was so insane that I never really developed a celebrity crush that compared once I got a little older.

I don't really get the Wolverine thing but Hugh is a big yes from me. Although if you're an Aussie you already have an advantage in my eyes.
I like Ewan too. That signed photo is very cool! I'm a total sucker for a nice smile and Ewan has a great one.
Placebo are still around by the way!

Haha, I can so relate to celebrity crushes only being older dudes (even though as time goes by, the amount of older diminishes for me, and a couple of the last ones are only ten years older compared with as many as 5 decades).
Was Di Caprio you first teenage crush? Yes, the suddenness to me by surprise with mine as well.
Reading about Carter made me glad I'd stopped watching ER before the Africa and drug thing (because I go bored). Even though it was George Clooney's character who did it for me there.
Are the first X-men really worth seeing? I watched the birth of the Wolverine (or whatever one of the latest one is called), and I was most severely disappointed after seeing Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables (which if you have not seen yet, you absolutely should try). It was similar to, mmm, William Shatner's eternally torn shirts in ToS ( ... )
