I have arrived safe and well in Tokyo. The ride over started out very stressful, I had a 55 minute layover in Copenhagen, but my flight from Oslo ended up being an hour delayed ... however, since both flights were operated by the same airline, the Tokyo bound flight actually waited for me. I have never had this happen, but it felt absolutely ( Read more... )

It was a lot of fun! I should have asked someone to teach me to dance like a pro otaku, that's my only regret. Maybe next time! Haha

Lololol walking onto a plane, everyone seated already, the guy seated next to you already sleeping so you have to wake him up to get seated ... XD I wonder how delayed the plane actually was :x

I haven't been in yet, but it was weird walking past the back of the building yesterday and seeing it actually there :0

Ahaha, get your glowsticks ready!

Well, it was nice of them! and compared to the nightmare of waiting 12 or 24 hours for the next flight out x_X wasn't it really rainy? I saw a few pics on my twitter feed of wet landings there.

Yeah! my dutch friend made a video, I think Kotobuykia and K-Books are already back inside, and the Dolfie shop has appeared again (she's a big fan lol)

Not that I ... remember? It rained in Oslo in the early morning (the rain woke me up at like 6am T____T), but I can't remember it raining, and there's been no rain in Tokyo.

Yay!!

I'm currently reading a travel memoir of a British woman traveling alone through japan in the ~1870s so I look forward to you Japanese posts to compare the two! :D

unbeaten Tracks in Japan by Isabella Lucy Bird. It's free as an ebook on Kindle! http://www.amazon.com/Unbeaten-Tracks-Japan-Isabella-Lucy-ebook/dp/B004UJ1AB0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407117846&sr=8-2&keywords=isabella+lucy+bird

It was written by a british woman during the height of the empire so sometimes she's a bit ...non PC/offensive, tbh, but it's worth looking past those parts for the rest of it because she has some really beautiful and interesting observations too.

Great to hear you made it safely, even with the delays!

Dear Stage sounds really cool. I'd like to visit, someday. Kind of fun to meet some aspiring idols.

=^..^=~

Thanks! I'm glad I made it safely too!

Dear Stage was a blast. An absolute must see if you are into idol/otaku culture (or find it fascinating)
