Why am I finding it so difficult to shop for shoes? All the shoes I currently own are worn out or torn up in some way or other. I need new shoes D: Yet I can't find anything that strikes my interest, and I can't decide whether I want canvas shoes or something a bit more... sturdy and, uhm.. grown up-y 8D

That approach seems cold.

Try some Merrell Mary Janes? They have some fairly dressy looking ones that still have excellent construction and sneaker style treds because they're Merrells.

Omg ouch why would someone go barefoot? There's so many nasty things on the ground. You don't need to get messed up with that. You'd be surprised but Crocs are expanding past the hideous first kind of shoes they made--I have some very cute black wedges from them and they are very comfortable. Check them out!

I think probably because they're like a Hobbit. You know, their feet are very tough.
