Happy birthday indeed. The thoughts just make this one even better.

Good job. I agree, the way the Cullens drive they probably would've killed quite a few pets by now at minimum. Assholes.

(Your icon is so ironic: I have Netflix up, and I'm watching the first episode of MLP as we speak XD)

THANK YOU! They've probably killed people's pets DIRECTLY as well. -___-

I love this one. I'm not sympathetic to Edward's driving habits either. When drivers start speeding on the highway (and I don't mean 5 over the speed limit, I mean 10+), switching between lanes without signal and into tight spaces between cars, and riding on my ass, I get pretty pissy. Seeing Edward get this is just eye candy >:D

I'm sorry about your pets . . . D:

THANK YOU! :D

UGH, I KNOW. It drives me crazy. I remember this one time when a woman was actually honking at me when I was going the speed limit (possibly a mile or two over) and she was- literally almost touching my bumper. It was the first day I almost flipped someone off.

Thanks. Everyone and their damn mother speeds on our road. I can't tell you how many dead animals I see on a daily basis.

I have to ask why Meyer thought it's a good idea to put Edward speeding in the book. To make him look like a "bad boy"? And no, his reflexes don't matter when the van i refuse to call that soccer mom thing a car itself doesn't have those kinds of reflexes. It can't move off the road nearly as fast as Edward can and it can't narrowly dodge with surprising maneuverability. Those commercials where cars do that kind of stuff are practiced and in inclosed courses with professional drivers at the wheel. Edward has none of those factors in place ( ... )

Because speeding's COOL. No one's ever DIED by wrapping themselves around a tree or telephone pole because they were SPEEDING /RAGE. Visually it's supposed to look cool, like the commercials you mentioned; but in a real life setting, people actually get hurt (BUT NOT IN MEYERVILLE WHERE THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES ON THE GOOD GUYS AND MAKES THEM SPARKLE LIKE LITTLE PIXIES).

In my Freshman year of high school, there was this one car that almost hit me twice (I think it was a Junior driving it, because I saw the car for two years straight). In fact, he had a habit of almost hitting a LOT of people. I know the speed-traps in my area like the back of my hand, because within five miles of my house we have an elementary school, a middle school and a high school (all of which I attended).

I'm in the Northeast, so we get possum, raccoons, squirrels... Saw a seagull dead on the side of the road once too. Birdie learned the hard way to move when screaming metal death comes charging at it.

THANK YOU! That was the BEST PART OF IT: Giving Charlie a chance to get Edward, all while doing his duty. >:3

This is very satisfying and a bit odd 'cause I've been trying to write a fic where Edward meets Charlie before Bella even shows up and it involves him getting busted for speeding.

And my condolences for the loss of your pets. I live near a very busy street and it saddens me when I see a dead cat on the side of the road.

THANK YOU! But sorry to steal your idea! I've been thinking up a few scenarios involving cars where Edward could get a metaphorical (or possibly literal) slap across the face, and this story just kind of rolled out.

Thanks. :) What makes me cringe are houses that are right next to the highway. I pity the family in such a house that has pets that get outside.

Mine involved Edward doing community service at the police station, while Charlie and his fellow officers watch him like a hawk.

Actually, most of them were feral cats, but it still gets to me.

XD AWESOME!

We have feral cats in my area, and I actually heard one (It was just a baby) get hit one night and die. :( I don't think the guy was speeding, it was just dark, and the kitten was dark-furred. UGH, IT KILLED ME.
