Twilight musings and doodles

So I read the Twilight books which I had never heard of until a couple weeks ago. VERY ADDICTING. Like a soap opera! :D Love triangles, vampires and werewolves oh my! Like Buffy...but not? Loved it, rereading it and have been sketching...but I have ( a few problems with the ...story...relationships, etc. )

art, twilight

Nawww! I haven't read Twilight, but I love the sketch! She looks SO tired and put out her expression is priceless. And the bags under here eyes really add to the interesting, unperfect loveliness of her face.

Ohhhh I've missed your art!!!!

Squeeee!!! ♥!

Thanks glock. :D I need to...retrain myself. Get back into drawing. I dunno. I don't draw for months at a time now. Before it was constant. :/

Dude, what's been going on with you? I feel like I haven't "seen" you in so long. ♥ how's the job life going?

Yes! I am so glad you read these books. I, for one, find Bella and Edward's relationship completely unbelieveable and would much rather see her with Jacob. At least he's fun to be with and she IS happier with him, I think. You should do more scteches! Like of Jacob. <3

:D!

Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one. It doesn't make sense in my brain. Fun to read but why on earth would they want to spend an eternity with each other?

haha! Jacob is awesome...except for the kissing stunt he pulled. I would've punched him in the mouth too.

I love Twilight. I am currently addicted. There are some real problems with it, as you have mentioned. Personally I see Bella and Jacob as whiny and juvenile. I absolutely love Edward and Alice, though some of the moralistic things, such as Edward still being a virgin, are weird. I think he is controlling, but she allows him to be, and he isn't controlling/abusive he is controlling/trying-to-look-out-for-her-because-she-is-dumb-and-immature-and-not-thinking. I think he is looking at things from 100+ years of experience and because he genuinely cares for Bella and wants to be with her, but thinks he is bad for her. What do you think about that?

Edward and Alice are great. And I agree. The whole Edward=Virigin was like...whaaa??? He's...17....for...80 years and he's still a virigin? I don't buy it. HE'S LYING!!!! XD!! I always have to roll my eyes whenever he mentions that he's waited for bella all this time. like....why????

Bella's self absorbed nature really bothers me too. She's always looking to see how others make her feel. Doesn't think ahead.

welll....I think I'm really curious about Stephenie Meyer's planned book about doing Twilight but from Edward's viewpoint. She has the first chapter up on her website. So...I think maybe if I read that I'll understand better? Maybe I feel insecure about the relationship because Bella's insecure and we're reading the books from her viewpoint?

I've only read Twilight, but I completely agree with you there. I love the characters and the premise and the world that Stephenie has created, but I'm not sold on the love story, either. It all happened very fast, and I just don't see why Edward is so in love with Bella - she's completely unextraordinary, except for the whole not reading the mind thing, which was never explained very well, either. And the way he becomes her whole life - not healthy at all.

I love the books, but there's some serious issues there.

EXACTLY!! I don't understand the appeal on Edward's side the most! I think she intrigues him because she doesn't react to things like "normal" people do...but is that a good thing? Cause she always seems to be reacting in a way that'll get her hurt. Oh yeah. That's really attractive. Ahahaha.

Maybe the next book will hold more answers.

It's stupid because she doesn't do anything that's so amazing, she's just not quite as shallow as the other teenagers... or shallow in a different way that doesn't bother Edward. It just bothers me because eighty years and she's the most amazing person he's ever met? I feel sorry for him, it must've been a boring life then.
