Twilight musings and doodles

So I read the Twilight books which I had never heard of until a couple weeks ago. VERY ADDICTING. Like a soap opera! :D Love triangles, vampires and werewolves oh my! Like Buffy...but not? Loved it, rereading it and have been sketching...but I have ( a few problems with the ...story...relationships, etc. )

art, twilight

I've only read Twilight, but I completely agree with you there. I love the characters and the premise and the world that Stephenie has created, but I'm not sold on the love story, either. It all happened very fast, and I just don't see why Edward is so in love with Bella - she's completely unextraordinary, except for the whole not reading the mind thing, which was never explained very well, either. And the way he becomes her whole life - not healthy at all.

I love the books, but there's some serious issues there.

EXACTLY!! I don't understand the appeal on Edward's side the most! I think she intrigues him because she doesn't react to things like "normal" people do...but is that a good thing? Cause she always seems to be reacting in a way that'll get her hurt. Oh yeah. That's really attractive. Ahahaha.

Maybe the next book will hold more answers.

It's stupid because she doesn't do anything that's so amazing, she's just not quite as shallow as the other teenagers... or shallow in a different way that doesn't bother Edward. It just bothers me because eighty years and she's the most amazing person he's ever met? I feel sorry for him, it must've been a boring life then.
