Hardison gave his journal a rest after coming to the conclusion that Parker was no longer in Peaksville. He had finally become disillusioned with the town. It had been a playground for a lot of his favorite characters. Maybe if it hadn't all started with the promise of residing with a favorite person from his life then he would've probably been fine. Wait. He was fine. Alec assured himself that he was fine. The Twilight Zone was a half hour episode. This all couldn't go on for that much longer ( ... )

Ashley had been oblivious to his waving until he'd called to her. Whilst she'd been walking and even looking not much had really registered with her, just enough so that she didn't fall or trip. Once he had her attention she stopped, then turned to be closer to him - there wasn't really sense in calling across the square when it was just them around, anyway.

"Uh, hey." Ashley didn't recognise him and since the journals weren't entirely helpful she had no idea if she'd ever spoken to him before - hell she didn't even know his name. "Guessing by the shop you've been dragged into this too?" Wow, someone was actually working. That... was a sort of surprise - she didn't expect them all to picket it.

Her hesitation made him wonder if he should've left well enough alone. However, it was nice that she didn't simply holler back and continue on her way. Hardison was in dire need of a distraction from his sullen thoughts that Parker had abruptly exited Peaksville.

"Yep. Name's Har--Alec," he corrected himself as he extended a hand. His name badge understandably held his first name, not his last. "Alec Hardison. Impromptu Peaksville Repairman, at your service." His lips formed a polite smile and he met her eyes with an innocence not self realized.

Hardison had an almost shy way of meeting the opposite sex unless he was working a con. He considered pulling some kind of heist in Peaksville, if only to get Parker's attention and have her come out of hiding. Even if it attracted the wrong kind of attention from West.

She shook his hand, giving a quick look to the store behind him before back at him and smiled at his job. Impromptu Repairman, wow they really were going all out, community... things and everything. Well, good for him? At least if he could do it, even better if he didn't have to because... well that wasn't playing into their hands? She didn't know.

"Ashley... Magnus." She tacked her last name quickly on, though it didn't really have any effect or mean anything here. "Repairman? That's... is that anything like what you used to do?" If he had been a repairman at home then kudos for him, though it was doubtful. The only thing similar about her and a cop was using a gun, and she was definitely better at that than most cops.
