"You shouldn't say things like that." Gabriel frowned, arms crossed, staring at the talking ape.

He was still confused about this whole thing. Last he'd checked he'd been up in Heaven with his brothers. But he planned to enjoy his time spent here. It was a new experience and he liked that. He liked new things of his Father's creation.

"No, I won't! You!"

This argument was going nowhere fast.

She gave him a little shove again.

"Crazy."

Gabriel fell down into the snow, "I've got a bunch of brothers! If Luci were here, he'd beat you up!"

He looked to be on the verge of tears.

Damn why did the kid have to go and look like he was going to cry? Deb was loads of things, but she wasn't a bully. She hated bullies.

Also, who had a name like 'Luci' if they were a boy anyway? That was dumb.

"Here." She stuck a cold hand out to help him up.

He pouted at the hand and pulled himself to his feet without her help. Sniffling, he brushed his nose with his gloved hand.

"I r-really am Gabriel..." his voice hitched.

"Okay. You're Gabriel. I'm Deb. Nice to meet you. Now stop crying."

Deb really didn't do well with crying, not even with her own.

"I'm leaking..." he said pitifully, lifting up the now wet glove to show her.

"You're crying." The duh tone had slipped back into her voice and she stared at him.

"Ain't ya ever cried before?"

"No." he frowned, wiping at his eyes, "I've never leaked before. I've never been this sad... I'm always in the presence of Him, what cause would I have to be sad?"

Uh... She didn't know what to say to that; after all, who the hell talked like that. A little uncertainly she just said. "Uh.. well... you'll probably be uh back there soon?"

He brightened up at that and he smiled brightly, his sadness entirely forgotten, "Oh, yes! I will!"

Well... this kid was weird. Right. Now what did she do with him? "Uh... so Gabe... do you uh... like magic tricks?"

His head tilted curiously, "I like tricks! Micheal says they are below us, but Lucifer has been teaching me a few." Gabriel stepped closer, "I wanna see!"

Man. Debra was starting to think that this kid was really screwed, or he might just be what he said he was. Well, she was more leaning toward that screwed theory. She only knew two tricks, and one of them required a deck of cards, but the only the the other required? A quarter. Thankfully she had one of those in her pocket.

"Alright, are ya ready?"

He saddled up next to her, bubbling with excitement and bouncing a bit, "I'm ready! Show me, show me!"
