The past couple of days had been eventful to say the least. Yesterday had been a day to recoup and get his head straight after the events of the previous forty-eight hours. Non-stop sex and a sham marriage with no conscience memory of could cloud the mind

Cordelia turned to him with a smile, before scribbling BORED across the front of the pad and holding it up to face him. It really was the most accurate assessment. There was only so much you could do when you couldn't talk.
She then paused for a moment, before scribbling Cordy with an arrow pointing up towards her face and flashing him a smile to boot. If that didn't give him enough of a clue as to what she was getting at, then the guy was pretty freakin' dense.
She definitely had the type of smile that made a person smile. He chewed the bite of apple with a small grin while she scribbled on the note pad. Weird. He swore the brunette had a voice. Well, it wasn't like Peaksville didn't have weird. Like that ring on your finger and the collection of doors with hinges torn out today?
He couldn't help wince at her word choice. Derek wondered if West needed any tempting. There was no one around but the two of them yet the son of a bitch always knew what went on. The brunette went back to writing and returned with what had to be her name and another grin. Did she think that was his name? She didn't look like a 'Cordy' to him. He mentally shrugged and went with it.
"Derek." He uttered his name simply though there was the temptation to say it as a correction. Her grin didn't waiver so Derek assumed his initial thought was correct. "Bored in this place?" If you knew what I spent the last forty-eight hours like... "You haven't had any gifts from West

She did have a voice. A loud one. In fact, she might have demonstrated if she wasn't sure that the old bat running the place wouldn't eviscerate her. Instead she just nodded, before scribbling Sonic scream down on the paper and holding it up to show him.
Michael knew it was going to be a long day when he walked outside of the boarding house and was across town in less than a second. He had moved so fast, without even meaning to, that the whole world around him seemed to slow down into a pause.
He hadn't known what to make of it, but considering weird things had been happening every day since the day he arrived, he wasn't immediately shocked. He did happen to think being back at the boarding house might be safer at the moment, so he turned and headed back.
He started a leisurely walk, but it wasn't long before he started to feel anxious inside, like he had to run. Adrenaline started pumping through him and he had to let it out. He picked up his pace and before he could exhale he was standing on the front porch of the boarding house, waiting for his stomach to catch up with him.
His sudden rush appearance may have also brought a gust of wind with him. He didn't even notice Cordelia at first.
Oh, she felt the wind. She pushed herself to her feet and stumbled back from him slightly, looking more than a little stunned. She didn't open her mouth though. Just stared, gaping at him, before scribbling something down on her legal pad and turning it to face him.
She rolled her eyes a bit at that before scribbling down Sonic scream under the first question, followed by What else is new? Because really. In this place, having a strange morning really wasn't anything to be surprised by.
After Dean arrived and settled in and before he had dinner he decided to wander around the boarding house for a bit. He didn’t go into anyone’s room and rifle around, he’d save that for later when he was desperate for information and they weren’t around but he did look around the dining room and the living area for anything that’d give him a clue about the place that he was sent

It wasn't that Cordy had issues with being out of her element. Weird happened all the time where she was from. She just didn't like not being able to complain about. Because when she complained, she liked to yell, and when she yelled -- there was second hand damage. It was a little annoying.
Especially when there was a rather attractive man trying to carry on a conversation with her.
She smirked a bit, before reaching for her pad and scribbling out Nope. Just stuck in Creepsville.
“You takin’ a vow of silence till you get home or…” Well, there was the possibility that she was deaf or mute or something and then he’d be an ass but that possibility didn’t happen often for Dean and he willing to take a risk with the cute chick with the legal pad if it meant poking fun to break the ice.
“Y’know this place ain’t TOO bad, at least from what I can see. Which isn’t much, but it’s definitely doable. I’ve been through worse.” Dean gave a welcome smile and and a half shake of his head before folding his arms across his chest and leaning about back along the part of the porch that she was sitting against.
She shook her head, before speaking at a low enough volume to be pretty close to a whisper. "Apparently today is freak power day. If I talk louder than this, windows break." It's not her favorite part of the day, that's for sure.
She stopped talking again after that, just looking down to scribble down the next part of the message. I've totally been through worse. It's just annoying.
Erik was trying out his disguise. He felt fairly secure in it, at the sunlight on his bare face was exquisite. But he needed to talk to a few more people, see if he could pass as one of them with this face.
It may have been the best thing that had ever happened to him, but for the thought that he could not share it with the one he loved.
He walked up to the boarding house, noting the young, rather unfashionably tan lady sitting there.
Cordelia resents your implication about her tan. She also wasn't really up to talking much at the time, so she mostly just gave him a wave as he moved past, not really noticing anything about him either way.
Erik frowned. He was certain his disguise was sufficient. Handsome, even. The woman's casual dismissal was both good and bad: It proved he could move amongst them, unseen. It did nothing for his efforts to socialize.
He stopped on the porch, turning to gaze out at the street.
