The past couple of days had been eventful to say the least. Yesterday had been a day to recoup and get his head straight after the events of the previous forty-eight hours. Non-stop sex and a sham marriage with no conscience memory of could cloud the mind ( ... )

Cordelia turned to him with a smile, before scribbling BORED across the front of the pad and holding it up to face him. It really was the most accurate assessment. There was only so much you could do when you couldn't talk.

She then paused for a moment, before scribbling Cordy with an arrow pointing up towards her face and flashing him a smile to boot. If that didn't give him enough of a clue as to what she was getting at, then the guy was pretty freakin' dense.

She definitely had the type of smile that made a person smile. He chewed the bite of apple with a small grin while she scribbled on the note pad. Weird. He swore the brunette had a voice. Well, it wasn't like Peaksville didn't have weird. Like that ring on your finger and the collection of doors with hinges torn out today?

He couldn't help wince at her word choice. Derek wondered if West needed any tempting. There was no one around but the two of them yet the son of a bitch always knew what went on. The brunette went back to writing and returned with what had to be her name and another grin. Did she think that was his name? She didn't look like a 'Cordy' to him. He mentally shrugged and went with it.

"Derek." He uttered his name simply though there was the temptation to say it as a correction. Her grin didn't waiver so Derek assumed his initial thought was correct. "Bored in this place?" If you knew what I spent the last forty-eight hours like... "You haven't had any gifts from West ( ... )

She did have a voice. A loud one. In fact, she might have demonstrated if she wasn't sure that the old bat running the place wouldn't eviscerate her. Instead she just nodded, before scribbling Sonic scream down on the paper and holding it up to show him.

"Ah." From one loud mouth brunette to literally another. Definitely not a dull moment for Derek. He wondered how Cordy discovered her gift and concluded he was grateful that it wasn't on him. "Thanks for not giving me a sample. I assume no matter what you say, it's going to be an earful."

Derek wondered if he had any real control over his strength. He managed not to tear his clothing. That was something.

Wait. If this happened to him and Cordy, what happened to Deb? Derek furrowed his brow in thought then focused on the woman in front of him.

"You know what? I forgot something inside. But uhm, it was good meeting you if you take off before I come back." He couldn't even chance extending a hand.

She nodded. "Nice meeting you too," she whispered, before waving him off.
