Imprinting = the corny way of robbing someone of their free will. Fail, Stephenie. Fail.

Would you prefer explanations along with the votes? Don't need them, but don't mind them either.
Would you prefer the replies to remain spoiler free? I've read all the books, so spoilers are okay.
Would you mind having two same sex Twilight characters as your "Twilight Couple" result? I don't mind, really.

:: Yes or No, and why?
Opposites Attract: Oh yeah. Some differences have the ability to keep the relationship from becoming boring, and in most cases, a lot of couples are willing to find comfort in those differences, but just some.
Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder: Duh. When you love someone, that's when they become beautiful to you, because someone who is gorgeous can easily become ugly to you if he turns into an a-hole.
We Fight With Those We Love: Err, sometimes. I mean, the fact that we fight with them means we care, but there are cases when the fight is just unnecessary and people go too far. It's okay to disagree and worry, but the method of the fight is what defines the relationship, and some fights go too far instead of finding easier methods to resolve their problems.
All You Need Is Love: Ha! Love that song, but no. Love doesn't pay the rent and it definitely doesn't inspire world peace (on the contrary). While love definitely helps, it's not the solution to all problems... more often than not, it can cause them.
Love Conquers All: Um, not really. Depends on the situation, but it's actually believable, in theory.

:: One True Pairing
List your favorite t.v. show/movie/book pairings: Mal/River and Wash/Zoe (Firefly), Sylar/Elle (Heroes), John/Liz (Stargate Atlantis), Daniel/Vala and Jack/Sam (Stargate SG1), Marcus/Krista (Blade the Series), Nine/Rose & Ten/Rose (Doctor Who), Tony/Pepper (Iron Man Movie), Jack/Gwen & Owen/Tosh (Torchwood), Mick/Beth & Mick/Beth/Josef (Moonlight), Cain/DG (Tin Man *Miniseries*), Pamela/Belus (The Tarot Cafe), Abby/Gibbs & Tony/Ziva (NCIS), Chuck/Blair (Gossip Girl), John/Cameron (Sarah Connor Chronicles), Nikita/Michael (La Femme Nikita), Brian/Justin (Queer as Folk), Booth/Brennan (Bones), Max/Alec (Dark Angel), Sydney/Vaughn & Sydney/Sark (Alias), Cuddy/House & Wilson/Amber (House M.D.), Remy/Marie (X-Men Original Cartoons), Logan/Marie (X-Men Movies).

List your least favorite t.v. show/movie/book pairings: Kaylee/Jayne, Simon/Mal (Firefly), John/Teyla (Stargate Atlantis), Sam/Daniel, Teal'c/ANYONE (Stargate SG1), Chase/Krista, Blade/Krista (Blade the Series), Martha/Ten (Doctor Who), Ianto/Jack (Torchwood), Mick/Coraline (Moonlight), Cain/Glitch (Tin Man *Miniseries*), Serena/Dan, Serena/Chuck (Gossip Girl), John/Riley (Sarah Connor Chronicles), Brian/Michael (Queer as Folk), Zack/Brennan (Bones), Max/Zack (Dark Angel), Logan/Jean, Scott/Jean, Storm/Logan (X-Men Original Cartoons), Bobby/Marie, Logan/Jean (X-Men Movies).

Explain what you like the most about one of your favorite pairings: Mal/River (Firefly). What do I like most about them? They just fit. She's a product of the Alliance, the reason why the Browncoats lost the war. She's the perfect weapon, and he's the perfect soldier, one that never stops fighting even when the battle is already lost. He may say he's stopped fighting, may pretend by flying with his crew stealing cargo, but he's still fighting, and in River, he sees another battle. He sees someone to protect, someone the Alliance couldn't get, and won't get, as long as he's around.

Explain what you dislike the most about one of your least favorite pairings: Kaylee/Jayne (Firefly). It's just not possible. I mean, you're putting the sweetest mechanic in the world with that brute? I've no doubt the sex could happen, sex can happen between anyone, but love? Jayne sees the world one way while Kaylee sees it in another. They'd argue, they'd fight, he'd make her cry, and she'd probably annoy him for being all happy all the time. Seriously. Other than as a little sister/little brother relationship, I can't see it happening.

If you could join two characters romantically from two different fandoms, who would it be and why? Oh! Wow. You know, I've been haunted by a crossover pairing lately. Krista (from Blade: The Series) and Bruce Wayne (from Batman, duh---preferably, the movies, with Christian Bale). Before or after she became a vampire, I don't care. She's a fighter, military, someone who could probably take his Batman ego and his 'Rich Brat Bad Boy' personna without breaking a sweat. She'd understand the Batman, no questions asked, and probably help him in the meantime, playing along with his facade. She'd understand him, and would be able to live in both of his worlds, and survive them.

:: Couples Throughout History (Like or Dislike, and why?)
Romeo & Juliet? Dislike. Not only are they tragic, but honestly, after one second of knowing each other? You're willing to go THAT far?
Marc Antony & Cleopatra? Like. Cleopatra was the queen of seduction, and Marc was the one guy that seduced her too, and their love almost put a land in ruins. Chaotic, but impressive. Plus considering their backgrounds, they deserved each other *snort*
Cinderella & Prince Charming? Dislike. Only realizing I exist when I wear a fancy dress is not considered love, only perfect timing.
Pocahontas & John Smith? Like. I found it fascinating that he wanted to protect her world because of her, and that she was willing to sacrifice herself for him.

:: Him & Her
There's this boy who works at the library who is really shy, often awkward, but so very sweet and kind hearted that it's a shame he can't get a date. If you could set him up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would she be like and why? A girl who can bring him out of his shell enough for him to enjoy life, but not enough to become some sort of bigshot non-shy machine. She won't want to change him, just help him adapt to have a little fun, while still staying close or within his comfort zone. She won't be shy like him, but outgoing, and very patient, able to work around his personality and being able to love him just as he is.

You know a girl who has a nasty temper, always defensive and very loud, but this doesn't mean she's a bad person. She's really not. If you could set her up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would he be like and why? A guy with a LOT of patience and a hell of a sense of humor. Someone who can let her dish out her random verbal attacks, dishing his own back, but able to sort of twist the arguments into jokes or just not take her seriously enough to understand that she does love him, and he does love her, she's just a little firecracker and he has no problem getting burnt.

There's this guy who's practically a work-a-holic, barely getting any sleep and is really passionate about his work. He's a good guy , but rarely has time to even think about a girlfriend. If you could set him up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would she be like and why? Someone who's as busy and as passionate about work as he is, so that she doesn't have to feel jealous of his career and his devotion to it because she has her own.

There's this lady you know who's a scientist and works for a big government funded company. She's really smart, barely has time to date, is really kind and has a pretty reserved up bringing. If you could set her up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would he be like and why? Someone who can be as smart as her, but not in the same field. Someone who is more interesting than smart. Someone who can just laugh it off every time she gets an idea for a work project (while she's not working) and not feel envious about it at all. He lets her shine at what she does best, and he does what he does best, and they're just happy like that. A girl like that needs simple love, nothing ostentatious.

Of the examples explained above (and the answers you submitted to them), who would be your favorite and why? I think the second one. Just because someone is unpredictable and hard to be around because of her moods doesn't mean there isn't someone who can love them just as they are. It just takes the right person, the right kind of love, who'll take a negative and cancel it out, turn it into a positive that only they understand. So while the rest of the world might go, "He's too nice for her, she's too explosive," they don't listen and know that their love works. It just does.

:: Bonus
Name ONE song that describes the essence of love for you: "More than Words" Extreme
