Would you prefer explanations along with the votes? Yes, please.
Would you prefer the replies to remain spoiler free? No, I've read all the books.
Would you mind having two same sex Twilight characters as your "Twilight Couple" result? That's totally fine. If anything, it's actually preferred. =)
:: Yes or No, and why?
Opposites Attract: Yes. It's human nature to want what you can't have and to be what you aren't. I believe people are naturally drawn to traits that they don't see in themselves.
Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder: Yes. Some people like pretty boys, some like masculine men. Some people like short hair, others like long. It's all really based on preferences.
We Fight With Those We Love: Yes. Fighting is just another way to bring yourself closer to someone else, and if you care for them enough, of course there are going to be arguments. It's a way of being completely and totally honest with one another.
All You Need Is Love: No. Because while love is great, it doesn't exactly keep food in your stomach or a roof over your head.
Love Conquers All: No, but true love does. Love that can last a lifetime, not a love that fades easily. I believe that as long as you have someone beside you who loves and believes in you, you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to. Because you know they will always be there.
:: One True Pairing
List your favorite t.v. show/movie/book pairings: Perhaps Lucius/Hermoine (Harry Potter.) I don't pay attention to pairings much.
List your least favorite t.v. show/movie/book pairings: Anything that is too obvious, really.
Explain what you like the most about one of your favorite pairings: Since I only have one...I love how unorthodox it is. How sinful and wrong, because there is never a true love unless there are many many barriers to overcome. And really, what pairing has more barriers than those two?
Explain what you dislike the most about one of your least favorite pairings: I just don't like normal canon pairings because after a while they get boring and played out.
If you could join two characters romantically from two different fandoms, who would it be and why? Ah, darn. I really don't know. Um...if I were to go into geek mode and think about it as far as anime goes...I'd say Machi (HunterxHunter) and Naruto (Naruto.) Because Machi is well known for being able to handle anyone, anywhere, at any time, and I think Naruto would just throw her for a loop. And there's no quicker way to fall in love than unexpectedly.
:: Couples Throughout History (Like or Dislike, and why?)
Romeo & Juliet? Dislike. I don't like the fact that they take their relationship seriously enough to die for each other. Because while love is great and all, there is no one out there worth killing yourself over.
Marc Antony & Cleopatra? I don't know the couple, so I can't say.
Cinderella & Prince Charming? Dislike. I don't like the idea of being "whisked away in a golden carriage." It seems too cliche and theatrical.
Pocahontas & John Smith? LOVE. Because they overcame such HUGE barriers and still managed to win without it being a sappy stereotypical ending.
:: Him & Her
There's this boy who works at the library who is really shy, often awkward, but so very sweet and kind-hearted that it's a shame he can't get a date. If you could set him up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would she be like and why? The person I set him up with would be kind, but at the same time outgoing and friendly. Someone who would be able to bring him out of his shell without scaring the poor kid off.
You know a girl who has a nasty temper, always defensive and very loud, but this doesn't mean she's a bad person. She's really not. If you could set her up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would he be like and why? I would set her up with someone who is confident and tough enough to handle her temper, but at the same time patient enough to not give up so easily. Someone determined, who loves a challenge, and who can keep up with her.
There's this guy who's practically a workaholic, barely getting any sleep and is really passionate about his work. He's a good guy , but rarely has time to even think about a girlfriend. If you could set him up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would she be like and why? Someone with her own life, who is comfortable not being given constant attention. Obviously someone secure with themselves, because that's probably the only type of person that that guy would be able to be with.
There's this lady you know who's a scientist and works for a big government funded company. She's really smart, barely has time to date, is really kind and has a pretty reserved up bringing. If you could set her up with someone (and have it be an instant success), what would he be like and why? Someone kind enough to understand the lack of time management, and caring enough to offer to cook her dinner for when she gets home from work. It would probably be exactly what she needed.
Of the examples explained above (and the answers you submitted to them), who would be your favorite and why? My favorite pair would be the tough girl and the determined partner. Because I'm very much like the tough girl, and I believe it would be amazing to see her find someone who is capable of handling her, and who won't give up on her. Besides, it's always fun watching the tough people break into an ooey-gooey puddle of mush. =)
