She had been so cooped up with schoolwork all the past two weeks, it didn't bothered Namine one bit to slack off for one day, taking a day off from her part time job. After about mulling for the whole night on where to spend her recreational time, she had decided to go on the famous amusement park, since she had rare visits there during her young days.

And now here she was, standing in front of the entrance with a small grin on her face. She knew she would've had more fun if she brought some friends along, but then, they all seemed busy. But then again, she could always sketch on her own, and hopefully, take some things off from her burdened and tired mind.

As she walked forward, her eyes alighted on a young woman sitting on a bench. No, wait, on the sketchpad she was holding. Her fingers curled around her own sketchpad, wondering what could possibly be the subject of the art. Curiosity getting the better of her, she discreetly went up behind the young woman, peering over her shoulder.

Jane was very intent on her drawings, the tip of her tongue poked out of the corner of her motuh, always a sure sign that Jane was lost in her own little world. She never realized that Namine had approached her and was looking on. She was far too focused on her little furry friends.

Belle's approach went unnoticed as well, but Belle knew Jane well enough to know how to get her attention. And so, when she was nudged, Jane jumped slightly.

"Oh!" she cried softly, her pencil jerking across the paper. She smiled brightly at Belle, and when she realized she was speaking to someone behind them, Jane turned that bright smile on her as well.

"Oh, it would be so much easier if they held still," she murmured, glancing back down at her art with a furrowed brow. The squirrels were a little lop sided in Jane's opinion. She had a terrible habit of turning her sketchpad without realizing it, thus she ended up drawing at an angle. And, of course, there was now a big jagged pencil mark going across the scene. No matter, it was easily fixable.

Further investigation showed the subject as two squirrels, almost tempting Namine to open her own sketchbook and follow the artist's example. She jumped slightly and bowed her head in apology for being rude, before smiling at the woman whom she assumed was the friend of the girl sketching.

"Yes, she is. And she draws fast, too."

Turning her attention back to the artist, she reached into her own pocket and pulled out her own eraser, handing it to Jane to rectify her mistake. "I never really tried drawing live beings though. It's more of still art for me, or something that came out of my head. Maybe I should try it."

ah, this is short :( jungle_janie April 20 2008, 08:00:15 UTC
Jane gave Namine a very simple answer. "Because Cheeto's taste good!" Seemed a silly question to Jane. Cheeto's were widely regarded as a delicious snack. It seemed only natural to Jane that squirrels would think so too.

At Belle's direction, Jane gave her a funny look. "What do you mean, say hi? Say hi to who?" she asked, still unaware of the fact that she had yet to introduce herself to Namine. She would be quite shamefaced when she learned of this slight, that wasn't intended to be a slight at all! Jane valued her manners, and normally was very polite.

At Belle's suggestion of reading something aside from her biology books, Jane scoffed. "I don't think I will ever stop studying animal behavior. I find it far too interesting! I suppose our language lessons are never to be."

...that was kind of a...weird answer. Namine blinked at the answer, before scratching the back of her ear in puzzlement. " Well, you do have to wonder if they actually taste different to squirrels than how they do with humans." It was an honest answer ( ... )
