Giving my advice for a college paper.

So Kim missescargot asked me a few days ago what subject she should write a paper on. It had to be somewhere along the lines of 6 subtopics and I mentioned "Well, how about parties/raves/clubs/social scenes/situations/culture?". Apparently her teacher took the bait and she wanted my input. This is her myspace email asking me what to say and what I said

A feeling I always get when I think of the warehouse district in Lockhart, Texas isn't a feeling of fun. It is a feeling of ultimate freedom.

Everything about that time was unique: the drugs, the music, the venues, the people, the clothing- most importantly the music. Something like that doesn't last forever.

I tell my friends, "It's too bad ya'll guys didn't go to those, because underground music wasn't punk, it was the music coming from the warehouses or the impromptu events put tegether in someone's backyard. Ya'll missed out on THE THING this generation had that no other generation will have."

That's my input for now, but more will come later. I have to keep working on an essay of my own. lol.
