Heh, I agree with you totally. It was painful to watch, except that I did think the last 5 seconds were well done. Predictable, but very realistic.

I was watching the ep while online chatting with effin_g, and we snarked mightily throughout. I mean, zombies?!? Zombies!?! And man, the exposition was sooooo clunky. Jack did have a few good lines, but as much as I love Irina, she didn't seem at all concerned that one of her supposedly beloved daughters had 1) been attacked and killed by zombies and later 2) turned into a zombie and shot. ::rolls eyes::

And I swear our conversation at then end was "Santa Barbara!!! Yay!! Now, watch the car crash." and then sure enough, *bam*

The heavy exposition, cheesy sets and JG's pouting/strutting were more than I could take. I swear if the show wasn't so damn pretty, I'd quit watching. If they kill off Vaughan, I will quit watching. *sigh*

My only big beef with Vaughn this season is that it seems he always has 'that' look on his face. You know the one...where his forehead is wrinkled and it appears that he's saying "I'm so sorry I just ran over your poodle with my garbage truck. Can I take you out to dinner to make it better?" He *always* seems pained ( ... )

and then they showed Weiss and Marshall looking at satellite photos of the city destroyed, and they're looking crushed, thinking that the gang was dead ... yet, next thing we know, every one is back and Syd is forgiving Sloane, etc. and we never see Weiss and Marshall again. I never put much stock in the Rimbaldi storyline, so I didn't feel cheated, although I can definitely see where you are coming from on that point. The dialogue, production values, acting, etc. were very sub-par, IMHO.
