a) Started watching because of Siddig (that would be me, for DS9)
b) Knew him as Dr.Bashir or ___ and is pleasantly surprised.
c) Hardcore 24 fan who have never seen the actor before, but found him /hot/.

Highlight for my reaction:

Can't he die to save Jack's life?...and make it happen after Jack has been cold to him because of the Curtis thing, so we get Uber Jack Angst out of the dealie at least?

I've been watching "24" for some time now, but I really enjoy seeing Siddig here because it's such a different role from Doctor Bashir on DS9.

I'm a longtime diehard 24 fan who about a year ago happened to see Siddig in 'Spooks'. At the time, despite only being in one episode, I thought he was so good that I said to myself, "Man I wish the 24 producers would cast him on 24, cause he would be utterly brilliant!" ♥

To say I was excited when I heard about the character of Assad would be a slight understatement :P

I know him from DS9 which I did watch from the beginning...though not to the end of the series. I still have the tapes to the entire first season taped without commercials during the first run lying around somewhere!

I caught an ep here and there. All I remember is that Dr. Bashir got together with the new Dax and I think the wormhole closed for good?
