It would be great if some of that swirly goodness could rain all over the parched areas in the southeast.

Our flight to SoFlo yesterday detoured around 96L and came down the Atlantic coast, which I have never done. But I was glad. Normally, we would have flown right over it, and I was already to strap myself in good.

Really? It hasn't been that bad.. pressure not that low, at all.. lots and lots of endless rain, tho, eh?

I think I've landed in something like that before: We we going back to Boston's Logan Airport from Bermuda on a 727 in mid-September. As we were beginning to descend, we hit several downdrafts -- or something. About five times in a row, the plane felt like an out of control falling elevator. My ears were in terrible pain and felt like they were going to explode (they have never been the same under pressure ever since). When we landed, there was a driving tropical rain and winds of at least 25 - 30 mph.

Was it like that for you?
