Oh, Ianto! At least he's going out clubbing without Jack, even if he isn't doing much with it, right? I really like how you put in his awkward, "it's only Jack" statement to Gwen, because it's always interesting to see Jack and Ianto from the team's perspective.

Yeah, he seems like the clubbing type to me especially being younger but then how well he DJed at Gwen's wedding...almost made me wonder if that was one of his jobs pre-Torchwood...

Gwen's the sort to become overprotective so I think that's a definite possibility while Jack's away. Throughout the series seem to be little clues that they are friends, Ianto seems closer to her than anyone else except Jack. For the movie expedition, he takes Owen...pity date...and Gwen. Logically, he'd seem most close to Tosh but we don't really see any evidence for that in the series.

Sorry, sometimes I get defensive over Gwen. She may be a bitch sometimes, but I don't like when they make her into some sort of mega-villain.

Hurrah! I'm a massive Gwen fan and I don't really understand all the Gwen-hatred that floats around. She's made some mistakes, but haven't we all?!

I was just saying on another journal that I wish Gwen and Ianto had had more scenes together...the ones that they did have were lovely (I loved it when they linked arms down in the morgue!)

YES!
The linked arms scene is probably my favorite part with the two of them. I made sure I put it in the songvid I made last year.

I also love his expression when he finds out Gwen's pregnant.

Have you read any of the books? The Undertaker's Gift has some lovely moments between them.
