But what is this about Jack being mortal?

This fuckery better be fixed when everything else is.

That's what makes me so nervous. I mean, on one hand, I think it's the greatest gift someone could give Jack (because God, I bet he's tired after 2000+ years) but ... I don't trust it as far as I can throw it.

Deep, cleansing breaths...everything will be okay...they won't kill off Jack, right? RIGHT?!?

I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T KNOW. AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES ME NERVOUS.

I AM IN FEAR
:'(
:'(
:'(

I don't really believe they'll kill Jack but I just don't want to have to worry about it. I want to know for certain that Jack and Gwen will still be standing by the end and right now I'm pretty scared for both of them.

ME TOO. I AM REALLY WORRIED FOR THEM RIGHT NOW. I wasn't so before and while I think being mortal would be good for Jack in the way that he might actually die and get peace but ... PLEASE BE OF THE NOT KILLING JACK NOW :[

I think Jack will be fine, he's a fixed point, can't change right? So maybe this temporary thing (for lack of a better word) will be put right by the end, plus I read an interview with RTD and he made a comment about a bruise on Jack's arm not healing, but doesn't it say somewhere that Jack only heals from life threatening injuries?

Now Gwen, RTD won't kill Gwen, who are all the haters going to hate if he kills Gwen?

*Gives you a hug* It will be okay, repeat after me, it will be okay.

I'm more worried about Gwen dying permanently than I am about Jack; I'm pretty sure he's safe. Still, the idea that anything could happen is pretty damn thrilling. If RTD is the sadist, then I'm the masochist.

THIS! Barrowman & the show runners have said there's no TW without Capt. Jack. Unless they never plan to make anymore, Jack won't die. And honestly, he really SHOULD die. Like someone said above, it's the greatest gift he could get at this point. So we get to suffer wondering if he's gonna die, and he gets to suffer because in the end he won't die. MY KIND OF SHOW.

But omg Gwen. GWEN. GWEN COULD TOTALLY DIE.

TORCHWOOOOOOD.

I'm totally worried about that too. But I really hope THAT doesn't happen because I really don't think I could handle the wank that came from that.

Doesn't Eve Myles say in the interview that Gwen has to make the biggest sacrifice of her life? I guess that means she'll live, but basically be a wreck by the end of it. Oh, RTD. <3

*Peers out from behind fingers to read*

Actually. Part of me wants Jack to die. Not in a creepy "I want people to die" sort of way, but in a "that would kind of be epic, actually, and I would probably watch a show about Gwen, Rhys, Andy, etc. having to pick up the pieces after that" way.

Because, here's the thing the way I see it. Jack rescues Tosh, Owen, and Ianto from themselves/their demons/UNIT, and then has a hand, somehow (not necessarily his fault), in their dying. So he saves and destroys them.

He does not save Gwen because she didn't need saving, so he therefore cannot have a hand in her destruction. BUT, Gwen saves Jack from himself (canonically), so it makes sense if Gwen has a hand in his destruction.

Or, if it doesn't make sense, it's a pretty parallel in my head. Poetically speaking. Maybe. Or something. Just a thought!

Actually it does, really. I mean, I think ... it would be a good thing for Jack. Not necessarily on that scale that he caused these peoples deaths, but he's been the hero for over 2000 years and it's just ... it's every human beings right to die and be at peace. Jack of all people really does deserve that.

I'm just a little selfish in wanting Jack and Gwen to have a snog before it happens. >.>

Well, I don't think he caused the deaths in a way that leaves him the blame, but I think that without Jack, they wouldn't have lived, and yet, without Jack...they wouldn't have died. That sentence can only be logical in relation to Torchwood, I think. ;)
