you know i l♥ve Torchwood but...

Torchwood US?! ...really?

...if there's something i love about Torchwood is that it is very British (and the homoerotism, duh! xD) I guess that if they work with a proper cast it could work... still, if it happens i'm tuning in just because is Torchwood, but i'm not expecting much.

character: ianto jones, actor: gareth david-lloyd, fandom: torchwood, about me, actor: john barrowman, pairing: janto, character: captain jack harkness

WHere did this come from?
Ok, im hoping its a fourth season set in the US, cuz i'm not sure a bastardized version would work. at all.
it's a spin off, very clearly, of Doctor Who.
I cannot comprehend any of it.
Jack leading an american torchwood with Gwen having to deal with crazy americans, and her ideas of them.

apparently it's a spin-off of and spin-off. It's not an exact remake but an extend of the Torchwood we all know and love....doesn't sound so bad, but i'm still a bit dubious.

Ditto.
So like Torchwood, New York?
New cast, crazy adventures. Hey, lets all stop the Gasdfdfr attack taking place at the Statue of Liberty.

Well, IF (and that's a big IF) RTD gets away with it and FOX allows them, we could probably get a new show with the same homoerotiscm the original TW has.... i just don't want the original Torchwood to be on hold because of Torchwood USA.

You're talking about US network tv, not cable. It's not going to happen. Unless it's two girls... *sigh*

I think I am in the same boat as well. It does have a chance to be a good show because a few of the peeps behind the original are supposed to be working on the American version but it is on FOX and they tend to cancel any show that does not have stellar ratings after the first two episodes.

Exactly, that didn't happened with most remakes, except with The Office and it's working quite well i just don't want to see the original Torchwood to be affected due to the lack of a showrunner.

i think it would've been a million times better (and cheaper) if they got the rights to broadcast the original version.

Well... I REALLY don't like this idea either, you know... US Versions are not always a good idea, but since I won't watch anymore torchwood, I wouldn't bother... but I REALLY think it's NOT a good idea...

it could work since RTD and Julie Gardner are behind it, so it'll be the same creative team maybe if they can deliver a couple new characters and develop a new Jack/ianto i could tune in =P
