He gets onto the bed with her, wrapping one arm around her and burrowing his nose against the nape of her neck.

Alexis woke with a start, inhaling sharply and deeply like she'd been flailing around underwater with no air. For a second she was still back there, still in the funeral home having to watch that guy shoot her dad. Then it registered with her where she was - Cooper's bed, safe in Cooper's bed and Cooper's here now - and she burst into tears.
"Cooper," she sobbed, trembling, and curled tightly into him, burying her face in his chest.

Her eyes widened in an instant and she lifted her head to look up at him, tear tracks streaking her cheeks. "Don't go into those clouds. Just stay away from them, they're horrible, you go in them and they show you awful things," she begged, not really caring that she probably sounded crazy. She didn't want anything like what had happened to her happening to her boyfriend.
