For a while after their whole ordeal in the cloud thing, Alexis hadn't wanted to leave her dad's side. It had taken a while for her to be reassured he wasn't going anywhere, he was still alive and well. Once she was mostly secure in that, though, the only person Alexis wanted to see was Cooper.
She wasn't sure where he would be, and she was exhausted, physically and emotionally drained. It seemed reasonable to think he would go back to his room at some point - Alexis was still holding out a little bit of hope he would decide to get a costume for the party that night - so that was where she went, planning to wait for him there.
Cooper's room was empty when Alexis went in, so she settled in to wait, kicking off her shoes. She pulled on his hoodie and curled up on his bed, and only a few minutes later fell into a fitful sleep.
