Later in the night, though, once things had started winding down - and after Cooper had gotten several more drinks in him - they slipped away from the dwindling crowd and down to his room. Alexis, for her part, was completely sober, but that didn't stop her, once Cooper had shut the curtain behind them, from practically leaping into his arms with teenage exuberance and kissing him the way she'd been wanting to all night.
