What's AudioSwap? Is that what it sounds like? Replacing the music in your video? How could that even work, since the video would have been edited to fit the original music?

Apparently, I am full of questions tonight!

it's, sadly, exactly what it sounds like. I know. It's awful. I even tested it out to see if it could work. It doesn't.

(Huh. Icons. How torchwoody are we today? heh. Torchwoody should totally be a word.)

meanwhile, really should be working on uni, since I'm supposed to leave in like 2 hours and actually need to have done some work before then. I blame Blood Ties for recording last night. I never get any work done when Blood Ties is available.

So, did they block your Heroes video due to the footage or the music? If it's the footage, I wonder when they'll pull mine. They already pulled my Spike video (compliments of Fox) and I'm getting to the point of not putting videos there at all.

YouTube keeps blocking and deleting. I hope they close.

BTW, love your icon, love that scene.

It was the music. Thanks, Disney. Thanks a lot. I haven't really heard about all that much Heroes stuff getting pulled, but I don't hear about a lot of stuff. *returns to little box*

Also, hell yes. Ianto won so many points in season 2.

YouTube is completely made of FAIL. They just removed a video that I made two years ago, citing copyright infringement on the music. Granted, it was one of my worst videos, but that's not the point. If they keep this up, they're gonna lose their popularity. It couldn't come any quicker, IMO. *totally annoyed*

I know. I'm getting really sick of it. It used to be so easy and friendly and "oh hey, you made a vid? awesome! Let's see!" now it's all like "dude, you still doing that? we moved on to go, like, watch porn. You should, like, get a life. or use AudioShare. Or annotate. Like, awesome." and I'm all like "wtf man, why are we Valley teenage girls?"

yeah, my brain is full of empty tonight.

Usually happens depending on which distribution agency has issues with the concept of other people using their stuff.
Even though it's a compliment to have their music used - they still don't like not getting paid for it. It sucks.

Each iniduvidual file has the audio encryption code - no matter what - that code is there and can be traced when the agencies feel like doing a search on their stuff. Very annoying and generally time consuming.

Yeah. Grumps. One certain distribution agency doesn't mind, I can't remember who, but they just throw an ad on the page and track the video to sort of see the demographic or whatever.

which is a GREAT IDEA.
