I love this so much. It's such a wonderful interpretation. You hit all the notes of the actual BSG scene and the emotional ties to the Shakespeare work. It's just awesome, creative and fun! Something fresh that we don't see everyday in fandom. Thanks for sharing! :)

There is a reason the bard is the bard, but you do a fair job of imitation. Your writing here is beautifully lyrical. I like it.

Oh, you clever, clever girl you!

As plain as that? At sunrise we confess? was a fantastic interpretation of the exchange in UB. And the final aside to Artemis was just perfect.

Very, very well done. And charming, especially for those of us who worship at the twin altars of BSG and the bard. Who knew iambic pentameters worked so brilliantly with Battlestar?

Also, your opening sonnet was a pure genius rewrite of R&J's prologue. Although how you resisted the temptation to use the star-crossed lovers I do not know...

Hooray for the twin altars of BSG and the Bard. I spent half my time in college studying him in some way, shape, or form. I'm really glad you liked this.

The reason I resisted it, is because for the challenge, I'm going to be writing 9 more scenes and soliloquies and I wanted the prologue to be a prologue to the entire collection. All prompted by quotes from Macbeth... how I got Romeo & Juliet from a Macbeth prompt I'll never know.
