Title: Blot out the Stars

Summary: After the war, Albus is finding ways to cope.
Notes: Set after the Great War, this is a sort-of companion piece to a fic that will be posted in roughly a week or so. Thank you to my beta, uminohikari. 2800 words.

Thank you. I've always found the sock thing really interesting and I decided a year ago to include Albus knitting in a fic. It didn't work its way into the other fic, but that left it open for this (sort of) fix-it fic.

Wow, thank you for this long comment. I would like to say I had a lot of fun exploring Albus slowly making his way towards a better head space, but this was really as much me working through the fall-out of the other fic (set before this and from Gellert's point of view) and the implications of canon. Not to say I didn't enjoy it--I love writing--but there's a reason my projects not currently in beta are all more upbeat and cracked out.

I'm hoping to have the companion fic through the editing process and ready to post by next week. I hope it won't disappoint you!

In my mind, Professor!Albus made him as a demonstration when applying for the Transfiguration position...and it just was too cute to "kill", so he keeps it in his office now XD

This was just wonderful. You captured everything perfectly, whether it be the ensuing tension in the relationship between Albus and Grindelwald or the remorse that constantly afflicted Albus. Also, some of these passages are among the most beautiful and poignant I have read in a fan-fiction in a long time. This was adorable, witty, and angsty, all at the same time, something that is quite hard to do. Well done. :)
