Thank you? And I would totally be up for you illustrating, though you still need to get on inking that stuff from Steak 'n Shake. Princess-carried!Harry must be shown to the world! Not that I'm demanding or anything.

I'm not sure if this makes me Shawn, or if this means I have to be the one beaten to death with a tire iron.

BECAUSE I'M AWESOME, THAT'S WHY.

I'm glad it had part of its intended effect, but I hope you enjoyed it?

Most definitely. I love the tense atmosphere, very on a knife's edge type of feeling and I love how sometimes it's the everyday things that break us. PLUS your sparse but witty (and angsty oh the angst) dialogue demands much love too.

I love Dumbledore's sock quirk, so it was nice to explore that.

Thank you!

Buuuuuh.

I am left without words to tell you how wonderful and lovely this is. Heartbreaking, too, but in a gorgeous way.

Thank you! I don't think it really hit me that it might be a depressing story for others, too, but I'm glad that it was enjoyable, at least.

Heartbreaking isn't necessarily depressing. This is beautiful heartbreak, the kind that doesn't make you want to kill yourself. This is the kind that just reminds you that heartbreak is part of life, sad, unavoidable, and part of the human condition. Without it we wouldn't know happiness.

I really had meant to end on an up note, but . . . it didn't turn out that way. I'm glad that it works so well. I've always been of the heartbreak is an unavoidable component of life philosophy, but usually I like to focus on the upsides . . . unless it's Gellert and Albus, in which case the tragic side to their relationship totally draws me in.

How sad and disturbingly possible. It's interesting to see that element of obsession and compulsion in Dumbeldore - many geniuses do have those traits.

Oh Grindelwald. :shakes her head: Unrepentant 'til the end. I wonder if he had truly repented if Dumbeldore would have been tempted to free him and run off together to some secret island.

The reconciliation between Aberforth and Dumbeldore was lovely.

You saying that means a lot to me. <3 I think what fascinates me so much about my interpretation of the characters is that neither can yield in their ideologies. This is the sort of tragic romance that appeals to me so much more than the Romeo/Juliet type. Also, your sad Sai icon makes me feel guilty anyway. ;_; I'M SORRY SAI. THEY'RE DOOMED.

Also, I appear to have lost the file not of your beta comments, but of the rest of the fic. *headdesk* So if you're wondering why it's taking me so long, it's mostly that I'm made of fail. I'm sure it's somewhere. I just have to find it.

They are like Batman and Joker! ... ^^;; (Sorry, just got back to the States so I finally got to see The Dark Knight). Here, have another Sad!Sai icon. You know he's a romantic at heart.

Um, I've got the original fic you sent me in gmail. Do you want it? Obviously I don't have whatever revisions you made to it.

At this point, I'm going to be pathetic and say yes. I can just start over on any other revisions, and I was mostly going by the awesome suggestions you'd given me anyway. I'm wondering if I didn't accidentally delete it when I began organizing some of my folders a few days ago and deleting extra copies of things. If not, maybe I will find it some day in the future and can compare what's different.
