Didn't expect Insects in the woods

I'm very upset. Despite getting on my hands and knees to clean, paying a cleaning lady, the last three sets of guests marked my place down on cleanliness due to bugs. FFS, it's a cottage in the woods. There are bugs. I put about bugs in the listing. When you are near water thee will be spiders, mostly daddy-long-legs, not harmful, they don't bite.

Thanks, I'm thinking of doing a walk through check list ie- bathroom, toilet clean, sink clean, any odours, stains? Kitchen ditto. I've been very clear that there will be insects, otherwise what would the birds and fish eat? On top of all my other issues, pain, depression, money worries, I don't need idiots telling me my house is dirty because their are bugs in the woods.

Nods madly, my rating for clean was 3/5, IMO that would mean dust bunnies, dirty windows, fingerprints on mirror, toothpaste in sink.

A cottage in the woods is "too rustic"? I'm reminded of a long-ago class in "Medieval Europe, 800-1300" in which one of my classmates complained after the first session that he thought the focus was too Eurocentric. It's amazing how few people read descriptions of anything.

I'm sorry about the clueless bug-haters. Maybe you should advertise for people from the PNW -- even those of us who live in the center of the city have become used to seeing gigantic house spiders scuttling around, not to mention the occasional new batch of baby spiders hatching outside the mailbox. Come on, people, they don't bite (or at least, not very often :)).

people can be incredibly stupid. My mother used to rent out a cottage in the welsh countryside and one guest complained of slugs on the lawn. Don't take it personally.
