Sandpaper and alcohol applied far to vigorously To my chest. Now I have to hope my skin doesn't react badly to the heart monitor stickies. A few errands, then drive home, nap and hope to do some stuff.

Thanks, all this testing is in an effort to find some sort of treatment.

I had to wear a Holter monitor years ago, and I thought the technician was going to take the hide off me! You're right, that kind of prep hurts like hell.

Red patches in my chest required steroid cream, lots of moisturizer and adhesive remover. Last night I felt my heart pounding, at rest 100 bpm. I'm getting a workout lying down! Saves on gym membership!

Sandpaper? I had to wear a heart monitor and I didn't have to do that. Weird.

We used to do that for people doing exercise stresss tests as the leads would slide off with the perspiration. This guy was a little too thorough in his prep.

I've had several stress tests and wore monitors numerous times and NEVER did I have someone use sandpaper to make sure the leads stayed on. I'm thinking that the glue on the leads is substandard. All they did to me was wipe the area with an alcohol swab. Hope the monitor reveals something that you can work with.
