Icon love!! But I see it is no longer true for you. You look amazing. I wish I could get the WLS, but alas my insurance does not cover it and I can't afford it.
*thinks about moving to Canada*
*remembers Canadian winters are much worse than TN*
*reconsiders*

Fantastic!

Thanks, I have heard of people going to Mexico for WLS, some of the clinics are very good. Also, some people have found good prices for WLS in the US- usually $7,000 or so. The self-pay options in Canada are about $16,000 .
Knowing what I do now if the system had not paid, I would have found a way to get it done, ie increase my mortgage.

Our winters are hard, but I find the dry cold far easier to cope with than damp cold. TN is lovely.

TN is lovely. I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, so the winter here is bitter cold for me...it took the love of a good man to crowbar me out of South Florida!

One day I hope to get it, I need to do it soon, before I'm too old.

You look great! Good on you for going for it.

And yes, GERD is no small thing. Your patient's history and diagnosis alone make that starkly clear.

There is no ribbon or day or other promo to improve awareness of GERD and how to prevent complications that I am aware of. it can be deadly.

thanks, it was a difficult choice in some ways - Obesity is seen as a people who can't govern their appetites and thus is dismissed. WLS is lifesaving but not as available as many more expensive and less effective treatments for other diseases. Quite a disparity. I'm being very open about my experience to increase awareness and perhaps help others consider the option.
