A few weeks ago I bought over the net- an upgrade disk for my mac- Leopard. Specifically asked the seller if it was the disk with the big X on it. He said "Oh, yes." The envelope arrives- badly packed- no cardboard to back the disk, no return address.. Disk is not as advertised, but I try it. It won't mount on the computer. I tried a few times,

I've been pleasantly surprised in my experience with ebay/paypal, most people are honest.

What a rotten seller! Sometimes you just have to cut your loses. I'd probably have done just what you did- toss it.
