Ok, I'm going to come out and say it:

I think Facebook is dumb and it worries me that it's becoming such a huge part of socializing among people my age and younger.

You're right.
MySpace was just as stupid two years ago, and in two years it'll be something else.
It's no different than the hip nightclub everyone goes to, except that it's worldwide. Just keep mumbling to yourself, "this, too, shall pass."

Holy cheese, I completely forgot about MySpace! Thanks for restoring the faith in humanity that this destroyed!

Seriously: in two years it'll be as forgotten as MySpace and we'll be outraged at something else... and in a way, that's a shame, because we're doing the same thing politically: forgetting all about the things we were upset about last year. Remember Mark Foley? In a year do you suppose anyone will remember Larry Craig?

Hell, let's not forget Ted Haggard, and he actually did stuff!

Ah, how short the public memory is.

Personally, I will not be forgetting any of this, because when the Republicans are whining about "abuse of power" and "hypocrisy" a decade from now, I'm going to have stuff to ram down their throat. If the Clinton years taught me anything, it's that everyone hates someone with a long memory.

I do have a cell phone, but it has no other functions than being a phone. My camera is better than a camera phone, and I don't feel the need to be bombarded with music 24/7.

I am some some sort of subversive, aren't I?

Yeah, mine plays music and takes photos, but I never use either of those featues it because it's a pain and I don't want to pay extra for picture messaging. hahaha.

And might I say...can't a guy get away with a snarky remark these days? :)
