I've been messing around a lot with Google Earth today planning a BC outing for tomorrow. Turns out you can get USGS Topo maps for damn near anywhere in the country at the highest detail level and print them out through a plugin. It's awesome.

Then I looked at my house from last year and my car's still parked out there. I thought that was nifty

A new year dawns, and I am unsure what to write here. I'm always unsure what to write here, so I suppose nothing has changed. I'm becoming less and less interested in this forum as time goes on. I fully intended to sleep in today, but this morning I woke up and couldn't remember the proof of the Gaussian integral, so I had to get up and look it up.

I think Google puts the "relevant" Web Clips on the Gmail toolbar just to fuck with our heads. Case in point, a link to the 5.11 Tactical Megastore is currently gracing mine. How did Google know I wanted to supply my paramilitary force? I handle that with my Yahoo account!

I'm studying for my final tomorrow morning, my last final of the semester. All I really want to do is go to a Karaoke bar...

Speaking of dumb, I'm trying to figure out who actually needs this.

Ok, I'm going to come out and say it:

I think Facebook is dumb and it worries me that it's becoming such a huge part of socializing among people my age and younger.

So lately I've been listening to a lot of Triumph and Rush. Either I'm developing a taste for art-rock or this is some sort of residual Canadian-love carried over from my starvation of snow and skiing. We'll see. Until then, I'll be fighting the good fight.

Today I went for a ride with the USC cycling club. It was pretty good fun, even though we just rode to the beach and up the boardwalk for a while.
