Woo for more organization! I keep saying this, but you're going to love having a design wall! It's so nice to be able to stick your blocks up and leave them there. If you haven't found a tablecloth yet, look at Easter clearance. Mine are both Christmas that I found for super cheap.
I'm so glad you love the I Want to Believe block as much I do. Yours looks fabulous! ♥
Just finished writing the Design Invitational post. There are some fun ones. :D
Thanks! The pattern is awesome and the batiks I ordered were exactly what I was hoping for. I feel like they really look like trees and sky!
Need to get rid of STUFF. I need to just keep what I'll use for quilting and make myself get rid of the rest of my supplies. When will I ever need 10 pounds worth of buttons?!
I want a design wall but haven't found a place to put it yet. My room is small and every wall has, like you said, a door, window or piece of furniture in it. I wish I could take out my computer desk and one of the wardrobes (yes, I have two). The large one holds my fabric and the smaller one holds paper and other computer supplies and misc. junk. I think that one wouldn't be too hard to clean out and get rid of.
Anyway, the fabric is taking over the house! I need to do some spring cleaning and you ladies are inspiring me.
It really feels nice to micromanage the space a bit. It started out as an EVERYTHING room. Now it's still got my husband's dresser and his clothes in the closet, but the rest is all mine, and I just don't do much other crafts anymore. I don't enjoy making clothes so there's no reason to keep all these darn trims and zippers and buttons and snaps and velcro and snaptape and yardage of pink and purple fabric from when I decorated my daughter's room. Like 15 years ago. Ack! Right now I am in a place where if I need a zipper I can go buy a zipper. Seriously. So I should pass them on to someone who will use them.
I love the storage with your fabrics. I've got my scraps in one huge box! I sure your design wall is going to look great! I've got a design door! Loved how your poster turned out. Can't wait to see your finished quilt.
