Aalia DID post the video of you two together in London and it was adorable. And if she's the pkg you are talking about she shows it in this week's TTMT video, so you should definitely watch that one while you are dog-sitting.
As for the quilt top, maybe shout makes a stain pen? I know they have the little wipes and the scrubbie stick. A bleach pen is probably not what you want but maybe someone else will have a suggestion. I think Tide might have a stain removing pen.
The video with Aalia was really great :D Very cute.
I can't wait to see your finished Dr Who quilt (whenever it gets there!).
I'll do some looking about the cleaning ideas. I read an embroidery blog that's talked about how she cleans vintage pieces... hopefully I can find something!
Right. Okay. I just decided to search now rather than waiting till later because I'll probably forget.
She suggests trying liquid stain remover first (like Shout) - follow the instructions on the bottle, and soak/rinse only the relevant parts (in a sink or bowl of water or whatever). If the stain doesn't seem to come out, don't let it dry. Mix a bit of Oxiclean (or she also suggests Biz, which is something I don't think we have in Canada - I don't know what it is, anyway!) with water to make a paste and use a clean, soft toothpaste to rub it into the stained area. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse out and it should take away the stain. Her next steps aren't necessarily useful to you (boil the piece! vigorous boiling can remove a surprising amount of stains, apparently) and can also do damage if you're unlucky, so they're only good options if you're desperate.
