Birthday week, woo!

The hat looks great, I really like how that turned out!

Woo for all costume progress, even just the figuring it out part, which can always take forever!

I love your swap blocks this year, too. They're really striking!

You're cranking out those granny ghans! I sadly do not have any of the amethyst. My own yarn stash is almost completely depleted...except cotton, sounds familiar, huh?!

Great find on the Old Navy fleece. It's looks fantastic. I'd call it done. Thank you, thank you!

I figured a teen boy might prefer the solid blanket anyway. I'm sure there's at least one out there that will, anyway. The other fleece I picked out at savers still needs to have the holes poked in it, so I prob won't get to that until the weekend. My cutting table is kind of covered in costumey things, lol. I am going to keep looking for good blankets that I don't have to poke holes in at the thrift store. That was such a time saver! I kind of suck with the skip stitch blade. It takes me forever and then I end up having to keep cutting the fleece smaller and smaller because I screw it up and it cuts it too much. *sigh*

After I build my craft cabin in my back yard I can have BIG square cutting table for nothing but cutting, lol.

That amethyst yarn. Why would they not carry such a great color at Joann's? I just don't get it. I figured if I am going to have to order it to buy it, maybe one of the TTMTers has some lying around they will swap, right? I don't need a whole skein, just maybe half.

It's a great blue, and I'm sure it will be appreciated. Bummer about the Skip Stitch! I just go really, really slow. Linda pokes a hole with a tapestry needle. She's not a fan of the ST.

I hear you on the cutting table. I just put all the silent auction stuff in the floor to make room to work on my swap and another Linus quilt that I'd like to finish by this weekend.

Fingers crossed someone has the color yarn you need!

The costume came together nicely! Love it.

I love the birthday blocks you have been receiving. I cannot wait to see how you put them all together.

I am sorry that I do not have amethyst yarn in my stash - I will look at Michaels to see if they carry it if I have time this week.

Thanks, as soon as my swap stuff is done I'll tackle the costuming in earnest. I have to have it done in about a week and a half becuase I have to go out of town for work the last week of the month.

I love the birthday blocks, too. It's going to make a colorful, fun quilt.

Thanks for checking! I will likely hit my stores tomorrow, I took the morning off for my birthday, so maybe my favorite thrift store will have some.

Birthday wishes to you!

The costume is coming along really well! I think it's a pretty great idea to put pockets inside the coat if there aren't going to be any on the outside.

The swap blocks are great - it'll be a great looking quilt, whatever you do with them in the end :D

Thanks!. I've got to finish my swap this weekend and make some serious progress on that costume since it looks like I'll be out of town 10/27-10/30. I'm really hoping that business trip gets postponed.

I probably have Amethyst in my stash...let me check...

I have a ball the size of a large orange (but not as big as a grapefruit...maybe a small grapefruit...) but I know there's a full skein somewhere here. I'll find it tomorrow and ship it off. No need to send me anything...

The large orange *might* be enough to finish, but if you do have a full skein that will definitely get me to the end. *claps hands* Yay! It's such a great color I don't know why the stores here don't stock it. I was beginning to think I was going to have to order it from red heart... and then of course I would have to find other things to buy to get free shipping... and then end up with WAY more yarn than I need, lol. Dangerous to put an electric shopping cart from a yarn store near me!

Thank you for rescuing me! :D
