My Mom is being a bit selfish. She turns 50 this Friday, and on Saturday, her boyfriend wants to take her to London, because she has never been to London before and she's always wanted to go.

I'm reading a fic based in the UK, and somehow the main characters have managed to spend the time between 6 am and 9 pm traveling (mostly by train) from a (fictional) town Gloucestershire to Reading via London.
Now, as a silly foreigner, I've not heard much good about the British Rail, but really...
