I've been watching this community forever, and I suppose it is high time I actually contributed something.

Canon: Yes, Sakura/Syaoran

Summary: Bonding time is desperately needed. Humiliation is the solution. Post-manga.
Syaoran Li could only thank the gods that Daidouji wasn’t there to witness this little escapade. She had caught a lot of embarrassing moments on camera, but this would probably have taken the cake. He was also thankful that this stretch of road was deserted so that no one could see him clinging helplessly to the lamp post.
To her credit, Sakura had not laughed at him yet. Her jade eyes held only concern as she hovered around him, seemingly clueless as to how to help him.
Things had been…Rocky since he returned to Japan. He was still crazy about her, nothing would change that. But with things settled down, with no Clow Cards to capture or change, their relationship had cooled. Their bond had been a common goal, and having met it the pair almost seemed to be at a loss. They were still together, but it was almost like the fire had gone out. The relationship between Syaoran and Sakura had been reduced to a shallow surface.
The solution was obvious: They just had to find some common ground, spend time together, and bond again.
Which is why Li was grasping, white-knuckled, to a lamp post for balance and dear life. Knees wobbling, he fought for a foothold. Ah, the things he did for love…Finally, the roller blades he was wearing swept out from under him and his hands slipped. He had a brief moment of blaming it on Touya - they were his skates, and they probably hated him as much as their owner did - and then there was a sharp crack as his body met the concrete.
“Syaoran-kun!”
When the world stopped spinning and Li opened his eyes, Sakura was blinking down at him in mild horror. He could hear the whirr of the roller blade wheels still spinning on air.
“Ow.”
“Are you okay?”
“Fine, I’m fine.” By the next day, he was sure he would have bruises on his body to match the current bruise on his ego. He was a master of swordplay and could summon magic at will, but he could not roller blade.
She didn’t argue the point (he had half expected her to keep fussing), instead helping him up silently and supporting him when the wheels almost flew out from under him again.
“How do you do this,” he spat angrily as his legs contorted and flailed around hold him up. The question was rhetorical, but his girlfriend paid that fact no mind.
“Practice.” Sakura smiled. “And pati-AH!”
Li took both of them down in one fell swoop, cutting the unsuspecting girl off in mid-sentence.
“Are you okay?” It was he who asked this time. He was sprawled on his back again, Sakura had fallen on his legs when he kicked hers out from under her. Her green eyes held mild shock, but no pain.
“Yes, I’m okay,” Sakura answered, getting herself up off of him and helping him up for the second time.
Syaoran attached himself to the lamp post again, hoping he didn’t look as defeated as he felt. “How am I supposed to do this again?”
“Just balance evenly between your two feet,” she explained, backing up a bit to give him a good view. “When you want to go, you push with one foot and glide with the other.” She demonstrated, literally skating a circle around him. “You try.”
Syaoran nodded, slowly releasing the pole. He clutched it again a second later when the skates tried to run away with his legs again.
Sakura finally let out a giggle, and ignored his half-injured, half-withering look (he never could look at her too harshly). “At least we aren’t in a hurry,” she quipped, and Syaoran was almost more annoyed by the fact that her voice held no teasing tone.
“Here,” Sakura said gently, and pried his death-grip away from the pole, thinking silently that the pole was lucky it was not alive or it would have been strangled several times over by now. Holding his hands in her own, she supported another uncertain wobble.
“I’m gonna move,” she warned him, before effortlessly gliding backwards and pulling him forwards. He wasn’t doing much, but they were progressing down the street now at least.
Li must have looked a little uncertain because when he finally met her gaze she smiled at him. “Good,” she encouraged. “Now you try to push me. Just like I showed you.”
Syaoran nodded, adopted his most determined face, and tentatively began pushing. The support of Sakura’s arms gave him just enough balance to stay upright, and soon his footing became more sure.
“See, if we work together we can do it,” she encouraged. And Sakura was right, Li decided. If they stuck to it and worked together, they could conquer anything. Even roller blades. Though he made a private promise to himself to learn so that he didn’t look quite so foolish next time.
