*comforts* I know what you mean. I get very tired of -- not even being taken seriously (omg, r i srs biznes) but of being given the same consideration as anyone else. When my partner, after years of telling me I'm wrong about something, talks to a random stranger at a business lunch and comes home 'enlightened' and telling me all about this amazing new idea, I want to hit him. Same as when he was SHOCKED, SHOCKED, I SAY, that the co-worker who emailed him about being naked in bed on a Saturday morning was shortly thereafter separated from her husband and looking for someone new. He looked at me and asked, "How did you know?" Maybe because I'm not stupid. Yeah.

It really gets wearing after a while, all the not-existing. :p

I hope you find something to make you feel better soon. Maybe a punching bag would help.

that's kind of rude of him. he has not figured out by now that you're actually an intelligent human being with opinions he might want to maybe listen to? shee.

i can tell someone five or ten times "this is really cool, you might like it," and they're uninterested, and then one of their other friends mentions once "oh, you'll like this," and suddenly they're coming to me going on about this great book or movie or band or whatever someone pimped to them. and i'm like "uh, yeah, clearly you haven't been paying attention to a word i've said." i'm not going to start yelling but it's reallly tempting. i'm glad i'm not the only one this happens to but at the same time, what the hell is wrong with people? doesn't anyone LISTEN any more?

i'm torn between a punching bag and an actual person to bitch at. >.< i'll probably end up with cookies.

He's kind of dumb that way. 90% of the time, he listens. 10% of the time, he's an idiot. Seriously. In the 'how do you dress yourself?' way of being dumb.

And, yes, I know what you mean. I hate when people don't do that. I am guilty of doing that once in a while, but mostly because (a) I have NO short term memory and, (b) I am also really resistant to new things and it's the people who won't leave me the hell alone who get me to listen/watch/read so they will Just. Shut. Up. already. I feel bad when I know I've done it. But everyone gets neglected by me at some point. (Hi, depression.)

*pats* You can bitch at me some time if you want. I'm good for it. But cookies are good, too. I have chocolate. *munches* So the world is safe from me for now.
