neil's dad is cool, and molly's bar sounds like one of the sort that i like lurking in.

i've seen women breastfeed out in the open before, but i never liked that sort of thing--not 'cause of possible public issues (fuck THAT) but because it didn't feel safe/secure. i liked having a nice booth or something at least, back against a wall or in a room where i could relax and keep an eye on things all at once. out on a bench in the middle of the street feels too exposed, too vulnerable. *twitch*

you are such a twitchy!mom. but it is kind of a vulnerable position to be in, and sitting on a bench on the sidewalk really is kind of exposed. maybe that's what threw me, i dunno.

I would have been more comfortable in a restraunt or somewhere out of the way too because my kids wouldn't let me put anything over thier heads.

that makes sense. i'm guessing if this woman's kid didn't like it either she'd have gone somewhere else, or at least have been wearing a button-down shirt.
