I still haven't got round to watching Killing Eve - so much to watch, so little time! Yay for some good curling shots even if victory was elusive. Boy that lood bloody cold round you! Here after all the storms, it's rather mild and kind of grey/damp.
this is theoretically the last season, but you have three to get through first. i'm not sure i'd recommend past s2, altho s3 did have some good parts.
all the games on sunday were wildly uneven except for one. so three really good teams played against three overmatched teams, implying the person who put the schedule together didn't know what they were doing. otherwise they would've tried to match teams that were a little closer in ability. on the other hand, i just wanted to have some fun and get some exercise, which i did, so.
it's a bit nippy, yes. the joys of living in new england. (as opposed to old england.... *flaps umbrella* )
Your snow is much nicer than our snow. It's gone back to being ridiculously cold after feeling like spring, so I'm a little cranky. And now I think I need to find me a girl scout. Mmm cookies.
it's starting to look a little gray now, tho. and it melted a bit today. and yes, you need to find a girl scout, ideally one with a lot of cookies to sell. :D
Did you watch the second episode yet? I feel like i am lonely-watching because ONTD hated season 3 and hated the focus on Villanelle over Eve, whereas i... didn't mind it at all. I find Villanelle a really fun cartoonish villain whereas Eve is a bit more the usual melodramatic Breaking Bad type, i'm not so much interested in her story. Jesus appearing to Villanelle as... another Villanelle is hilarious. She's so self-absorbed, it's a delight.
there was a second episode?? i just watched the one! i didn't hate s3 but one of the things i like about the show is the weird tension between eve and villanelle and the way they play off each other, and since they were each off doing their own thing, it wasn't quite as interesting. and the sort of overall mytharc didn't make a lot of sense and made me wonder if the showrunner(s) had any idea where they were going with it. a lot of the scenes with villanelle and her family were EXCESSIVELY TENSE THO. but they killed kenny! (those bastards!)
jesus as villanelle in drag just cracked me right up. wtf, show. it was indeed delightful, because OF COURSE he's going to appear to her as another version of herself. and the knee-high platform boots were just nuts. i missed her wild sense of style. she was way too sartorially subdued in the one episode i saw.
I think only one episode aired on TV, but two were available on streaming straight away.
I also kinda like the tension between the two, although sometimes that can drag out a bit when it is supposed to be a hero and their big bad, because how can you make an arc if the big bad never gets got? I suppose on the CW they just change everybody's alliances every season, but i'm not sure people would accept that on less self-consciously trashy networks. I think odd partnerings perhaps work best when they're forced to work together, e.g. like Pretty Hard Cases (Canadian buddy cop show similar to Rizzoli & Isles).
