so i ordered a new bed, right? it came tuesday, i managed to wrestle it up the stairs (by which i mean i pushed the box), i got it mostly put together with a little help from farwing. and then she noticed that it didn't look high enough from the floor. so i put one of my comic book boxes in the middle - it was just the frame - and guess what, the bed

Oh I'm with you on furniture frustration! Though mine is also my own fault since I bought the sofa thinking it wasn't as wide as it actually is, and that it seemed pretty comfortable when I sat on it in the shop... and of course now I've decided it doesn't meet my needs, I've missed the window for returns. Doh.

I hadn't heard about Parchment's detour before the hurdled final! I wonder if the added adrenaline helped him run that tiny bit faster to win the race!

your sofa does sound frustrating! you wouldn't think a bigger sofa was necessarily a bad thing, and then you buy one that's too wide. >.< this is partly my fault too, in that i should've ordered the first bed i liked (before it sold out) rather than waffling. still, SO ANNOYING. how hard is it to make sure the dimensions on the web site are accurate?

maybe! i wouldn't be surprised. i think he just got on the wrong olympics bus, not realizing it wasn't going to the stadium.

I love spite houses. I think it's kind of funny that the original house it was built to spite is long gone, but it remains though.

me too!

spite houses are so petty. it's a lot of work to go through just to tick someone off. and yeah, how funny that the house the original owner was trying to spite is long gone, but the narrow little spite house is still there.
