ikea was kind of crowded and walking around it was probably not the best idea, but we tried to keep our distance from people and at least everyone was appropriately masked.
i'm pretty sure i'm going to have to move eventually, becuause whoever buys the building will want to make back their investment, and they can get more for my apartment than i can afford. but at least it sounds like i don't have to be out in two months, which is something.
It is interesting to hear an MCU fan's take on WandaVision. For me, i have not watched any MCU except the original Iron Man, so i watched the show as a standalone thing. And, for me, the first three episodes were incredible, i loved them so much. It felt like they were setting up a wonderful mystery. Then, instead of doubling down on the mystery, they started introducing all these MCU characters and storylines i'm not familiar with, so i got really confused and didn't understand what was happening any more. By the end of the show i cared much less about the characters than i did when it started! Oh well.
I've heard good things about It's A Sin. I thought it might be another depressing AIDS show (i kinda get stuck on the latest season of Pose) but the soundtrack might encourage me to check it out anyway.
it's also interesting to hear a non-mcu fan's take. :D the first three episodes really could stand outside the mcu - and they're so good! - but yeah, as soon as they start bringing in other characters and mentioning backstory, then you do kind of have to have seen some of the movies. (and they're not even the good movies!) the show is aimed at people who've seen them, tho. i mean, i think a lot of the emotional oomph depends on the viewer having come to it already invested in wanda and vision. well, mostly wanda.
i think it's a sin is half a depressing aids show, but i thought a lot of it was really sweet and positive too. i mean, the characters and their lives aren't all doom and gloom. it's very different from pose, tho - the boys in it's a sin are all cis and some of them have actually loving families, and their world is very different. also, it's a sin is only five episodes which actually made it easier to watch. you know it's not going to be people getting sick and dying for hours and hours.

Fingers crossed that you don't have to move anytime soon, and long-term reprieve would be even better!

it sounds like i have more time to find a place than i thought i did, but all the same, i'd rather not have to move at all.

I hope you don't have to move. Or if you do, it's into the perfect apartment.
Yay on the words!
