the gas station guy was so nice! they're generally pretty helpful at that station.

I checked out the article on hedgehog highways (of course), but the one thing that it didn't discuss was whether skunks will also use those tunnels/stairs/ramps to move between gardens. I mean, they don't climb well, but they can use ramps and they can navigate those short stairs.

So, while I love hedgies, letting the skunks in seems like a terrible idea! :O

he's a very cool guy. also apparently very observant.

i guess the thrill of helping hedges outweighs any potential stank from helping skunks. or skunks aren't as likely to wander in and out of people's gardens....
