happy day after inauguration day, my fellow americans! i didn't watch any of it altho today i found a video of the youth poet laureate, amanda gorman. she was great. i'm excited for the new administration, mostly because i'm excited and relieved to have an adult in charge again.

not only did scotty finally go to space, he was smuggled there! so clandestine and exciting. altho now the iss must know his ashes are basically buried under a floorboard, so are they going to unearth him? or just let him stay?

i read about the kapoor/semple feud on tumblr, of all places. anish kapoor came off as such a dick and stuart semple seems like a genuinely decent person with a sense of humor. and i had no idea there was a blacker black than vantablack! neat. altho the way it just sucks in light like a little black hole is deeply, deeply disturbing.

Walker update: they totally CW-ified it. Basically Walker is now the rough-around-the-edges dad stereotype, he has a hottie DA younger brother, and two baby heartthrob teen children. Also there are enough women and people of color to make it not feel like it's all white dudes all the time. Raven from The 100 is in it!

I will probably keep watching. I'm not usually as interested in the CW family dramas as i am their grown-up stuff, but i'm curious to see how it'll go.

raven! i'm pretty sure the 100 is the only thing i've ever seen the actress in, but i liked her. sounds like it's at least worth a look at the pilot.
