I got stuck on the equipment to digitise cassettes and albums - Paul has a record player thingy that's supposed to do that just it takes ages and I've not got round to it. Plus his only works for vinyl, not cassettes...
72lbs of cheese... inconceivable!

Oh and rats are like guinea pigs that way, my piggies used to go nuts for tickles.

the lp and cassette converters at work are two different things too. i don't know how long they take, tho. i was just impressed they were there at all, and available to anyone.

SO MUCH CHEESE. imagine trying to get that through the store in a cart, and then out of the cart and into your car. and then out of the car and into the house! how do you even store it, if you don't eat it all at once? (and who the hell can eat seventy-two pounds of cheese at once?)

THAT IS SO CUTE. i'm picturing guinea pigs giggling and it is seriously the most adorable thing.

Oooh being able to convert tapes to digital!! Just the other day my parents were complaining about how they had all this music that had never been rereleased in new formats. I should look into seeing if there's anything like that here.

That's a lot of dice, what a mess. I feel sorry for the cleanup crew.

Glad to read your new job sounds like it's going well!

i know there are analog-to-digital converters for normal people, not just universities, if your parents are interesting in buying something, it's entirely possible there's a service too, where someone converts your old music for you.

SO MANY DICE. tabletop rpg players everywhere clutched their dice bags in horror.

the job is so far, so good. i'd kind of like more to do, tho.

The rat hide-and-seek made for an interesting experiment! I would have thought it would be _much_ harder to teach them that, but the scientest was unusually creative. And who knew rats liked to be tickled? Or WHY?

i knew rats were smart but i was impressed at how quickly they seemed to pick up hide-and-seek. and yeah, the scientist was really good. the tickling was the best part of the story, tho. rat tickles!
