so last weekend i dropped one of my rings and when it rolled away down the pavement and i worried it was going to roll into the grass and be lost, i... stepped on it to stop it. and flattened it. >.< i took it to a jeweler near work on friday and explained what an idiot i was, and the guy said "it will be ten bucks, when can you come get it?" I wasn't sure I wanted to see All the Money in the World - having read the story behind it, Getty Snr really doesn't come out of it well. Isn't it amazing that Christopher Plummer only came in at the last minute and yet plays that part well enough to get Oscar nominated? That's impressive.

Avi Cantor was nommed for Yuletide so I read it then, but no one requested it which was too bad, it's a good story with lots of world building.

Turkigami is just plain weird. I hope they succeed but how do you come up with that idea?

it took me a minute to realize you meant someone wanted to read and/or write avi cantor fic for yuletide, not that the story was originally written for yuletide. >.<

i know! who looks at a roast turkey and thinks "hey, origami!" or i guess who looks at a piece of origami paper and thinks "i can fold this into a roast turkey"? it's cute, tho.

i was going to volunteer that i could get it on monday when i'd have more cash, but if the jeweler is going to let me take it basically on credit, i'm not going to argue.

i can't watch altered carbon, i don't have netflix. it looks really interesting, tho! and i loved joel kinnaman in the killing. is it good?

They used to stuff I the sleeves with crinoline or other stiff material to make sure they stood up and didn't smoosh. m. Scratchy

i did not know that! i figured the costumers were using either very stiff fabric or, like, spray starch. might be less scratchy than crinolines.
