first fall busy season successfully survived. my brain is tired. i made some overtime, tho. :D i feel like it's been a week, but mostly it's been a week of staying late at work. wednesday was the worst, and today was a lot of "hurry up, wait", and "WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING" and we had pizza for lunch

my mom sent some pics of the neighborhood, and it looks like they had a heavy rain, but nothing like a hurricane. like, there are some tree branches in the yards and a street sign was knocked sideways, but there's no real destruction.

i love when institutions have that kind of twitter battle. it's so fun.

I loved the comics, not sure how I feel about a film -- miniseries would work better with the story, IMO.

I'm all for Terry Moore making money, though -- his art is fantastic!

they'll have to do what they do with, like, x-men movies and pick a brief story arc to turn into the movie. the whole story is too long and rambling. a miniseries would be great, tho. or an actual series! mostly i hope they cast a chubby actress as francine, and not a woman who's like a size eight that they can pretend is chubby.

i've always loved the way terry draws. his women look like real people!

I'm pretty sure surviving a natural catastrophy is never old news. (o)(o) . Glad to hear that your folks and the house are okay, but it must have been a rather stressfull time. I'd be scared shitless, I'm sure, because you're so helpless, just sitting around, waiting and hoping. :(

i think they were definitely stressed out, even tho they were probably really safe at their friends' house, because yeah, all you can do is sit around and wait for it to be over.
