Dude, your hotpot sounds so delicious and I want one!! It doesn't help that I'm hungry and waiting for the parental unit to get back from the airport so we could eat, and they're taking forever. (I just randomly realized that when I was a teenager in Russia, we used to call the parental unit "ancestors". So I'm waiting for my ancestors to get back so we could have delicious halibut.)

it was delicious! even if i didn't know what half the veg was. (misc starch? pieces of squash? what?) the meat was sliced so thin it cooked like *that*, which is great when you're starving. i left the corn in for a long time, tho. deeeelish.

i love that you call the parental unit "ancestors". it makes them sound so old.

my car is back and now the driver's-side window won't roll down all the way! i'm going to take it back tomorrow morning so they can fix it, because what the hell.

personally i take happy hanukah wishes at any time. :D i don't know if there's actual etiquette, but i imagine that you can wish someone a happy on any of the eight days.

that's what i thought too! i love funko customizations but he's too happy-looking to be a really accurate john. maybe he's supposed to be a young john.
