yesterday we got out of work at three (at which point there was NO ONE LEFT IN THE OFFICE, I MEAN SERIOUSLY) and i PICKED UP MY CAR! which is perfect and beautiful again. altho the battery is dying in the clicker, but i can't get the damn thing open to change it. >.< last night i stabbed my finger with a screwdriver trying to pry it open. >.< i have to get the oil changed and when i do that i'll ask if they can do it.
i had to go to the grocery store today because i was almost out of everything and i can't go tomorrow, and it wasn't terrible! one of the guys behind the deli counter had a hairnet over his beard, which i thought was a completely bizarre look, and they were out of regular eggnog - they only had pumpkin - and that was a disappointment, but otherwise, i was in and out in half an hour and there weren't hordes of people and it was easy. i got my comics and that was easy, and i went out for dinner (hotpot! so much food, oh my god) (i got the seafood and meat combo, which included a wee squid! which cooked for like half a minute and curled up and was fabulous. also there were clams. and shrimp. and scallops. and some totally random starches) with one of the women from my writing group and her wife and kid, and another couple and their kid. seven hebs enjoying a nice first-night-of-hanukah totally non-kosher feed. :D
make some extra latkes for santa. he might need to eat something besides milk and cookies. don't forget the sour cream and applesauce. :D
this is totally fascinating - the history of the chola. i was vaguely familiar with the look (which i learned about from love and rockets, of all things) (who says comic books can't be educational?) but i knew nothing about the culture and history.

in the off-chance you were bemoaning the lack of funko pop john winchester, this fan made a custom one. he looks much less grim than john did, tho. i mean, he looks like he's smiling! gasp, shock!
